English language challanges
Hi
everyone! This is my last blog and today I’m going to talk about my experience
learning English, I never have been good on English because when I was at school,
I had a bad and horrible teacher, I suffered a lot because I don’t understand anything,
and I didn’t like it. Also, the classes were so boring, always in class we have
to fill in and do the activities of the book that the government gave, and
listening to the activities on a horrible sounding radio, I always did poorly
on those activities☹
Now the
experience of learning English at university is different because it has been
online. I can take the time to do the
activities without the pressure of a timer, do the blogs, even if they are a
bit boring it works, since you still learn, what I always do is write the text
in Spanish and then translate everything as best as possible I'm almost always
wrong, but little by little you learn.
I know I
have a lot to improve in my English, especially listening, since it is quite
difficult for me to translate while listening and many times I do not
understand what they are saying me, There is also a lot of vocabulary that I
don't understand when I read things in English so I look it up in a dictionary.
And when I speak the language, I feel like I'm not doing too bad, but I can
improve my pronunciation.
Outside of class I hardly ever use English, Sometimes when I play online and I need to talk to other players, I use english to communicate with them. Also, I usually watch series in english and read the subtitles in spanish, maybe I will start to watch it with English subtitles and try to understand what it says.
That is all! I
hope I have improved in the blogs and that they have been understood, take care
of yourselves and that you are well!
Bye!
It is true in online methodology the issue of managing times is much better
